The Hajj pilgrimage in 2020 is markedly different from 2019, with just 10,000 pilgrims permitted by the Saudi authorities due to the Covid-19 pandemic as opposed to roughly 25 lakh last year.
Masks are mandatory throughout the pilgrimage and social distancing and contact tracing measures are being strictly implemented.
